Roointan Arash Women’s Hospital is a 5-story building. The building area is 13000 sqm with 147 beds 4 admission wards, and a labor delivery room (LDR) with 10 beds. The hospital staff are familiar with the English language and can communicate with foreign patients. Delivery is 9700 annually. The hospital conducts physiological delivery classes for pregnant women and painless delivery is offered to all of the participants. The Obstetrics and Gynecology department of this hospital is an academic educational division of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences and consists of subspecialty wards such as Prenatalogy, Laparoscopy, Infertility, and Oncology.
To achieve excellent patient care, teaching, and research, the IVF unit has a well-equipped embryology lab and a unique ward with separate rooms for performing IUI, ovarian puncture, and laparoscopy/hysteroscopy. Procedures provided in this ward are IVF/ICSI (microinjection), ZIFT, IUI, and laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries for the treatment of infertility. The modern sonography machine in the infertility clinic monitors ovulation induction and follicular IVF/ICSI cycles. Also, male infertile patients are visited by two expert urologists at the andrology clinic. The procedures like PESA, TESE, and varicocelectomy are also done.
Unique operation rooms in the Middle East perform extensive laparoscopic surgeries like endometriosis, TLH (total laparoscopic hysterectomy), and myomectomy. As the only educational training center of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, this division has three faculty members (fellowships of laparoscopy) who train four fellowship assistants at the time.
This division offers prenatal consultations and procedures such as intrauterine transfusions, amniocentesis, chronic villus sampling, and fetal reduction. There is a prenatal sonography room apart from a prenatal clinic in which special prenatal sonography like NT/NB, anomaly scan, and fetal Doppler sonography are performed.
This division has 5 surgeons: a fellowship in breast, a fellowship in laparoscopic surgery, and a fellowship in oncology. The hospital is one of the breast surgery centers in the city.
As the heart of the hospital, the emergency department offers experienced midwifery staff and a resident specialist physician, who are ready to provide services. The entrance section of the Emergency Department is the admission part and triage room. The CPR room is the first of the ward, which is used to resuscitate patients.
With three sub-specialized physicians 5 specialists, and modern equipment, the NICU admits any critically ill or premature infants from all over Tehran and private centers. This unit uses the NIRS device to check for brain tissue oxygenation and has seven ventilators equipped with HFO mode. Audiometry and occupational therapy are also performed at the hospital for follow-up examinations of infants.
Offering 6 beds, and 1 bed with all Vital Signs Monitoring Systems, 8 Ventilators, and pulmotors in each bed, in addition there are resident anesthesiologist, qualified personnel, all medical drug and laboratory facilities, and portable xRAY and ultrasound in this ward.
With 20 active beds and experienced midwifery staff, this unit is responsible for the care of pregnant mothers with gestational diabetes, gestational hypertension, pyelonephritis, rapture membranes, preterm labor, hyperemesis gravid arum, bleeding, etc. In this ward, fetal monitoring is performed at the request of a physician, and if any problems occur, the doctor is promptly informed and the treating physician begins treatment.
With 25 beds, including 6 cardiovascular beds with monitoring devices, a well-equipped chemotherapy room, and a sonycaid and NST for pregnant women. Patients who are diabetic pregnant women, disease in pregnancy, elective cesarean section, and gynecology surgery are admitted to this ward.
Equipped with endoscopic and colonoscopic devices (video scopes), it's possible to perform endoscopy and colonoscopy for outpatient and inpatient patients in this ward. Also, biopsies for diagnosing gastrointestinal cancers and more are performed here.
Arash Women’s Hospital was granted the license for the admission of international patients on March 2019. This license allows Arash hospital to provide medical services to international patients from all over the world.
